Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By downloading the FactCircles app, creating an account, or joining a session, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

FactCircles provides an AI-facilitated conflict resolution platform. Each session runs through eight structured phases enforced server-side. The AI facilitator (powered by Grok) guides participants through the process and synthesises a written resolution at the end.

FactCircles is a facilitation tool. It does not provide legal advice, psychological counselling, or binding arbitration. The written resolution produced at the end of a session is not a legally binding contract unless separately executed as one.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use FactCircles. By using the service you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. Sessions and payments

Sessions are priced at $30 per session (subject to change with 30 days' notice). Payment is required before a session begins. The organiser may pay the full $30 or split it evenly among participants — this is agreed at session creation. Payments are processed by Stripe.

Sessions may be extended by +55 minutes for an additional flat fee, up to twice per session. Refunds are not available once a session has begun.

5. User conduct

You agree not to:

• Use FactCircles for illegal purposes or to facilitate harassment, threats, or abuse.
• Attempt to circumvent the phase-enforcement mechanism or manipulate the AI facilitator through prompt injection or other techniques.
• Impersonate another person within a session.
• Share session content externally without the consent of all participants.
• Automate session participation or create sessions under false pretences.

6. Intellectual property

The FactCircles app, backend, and all associated software are owned by FactCircles Inc. The written resolution produced at the end of your session belongs jointly to all session participants. You grant FactCircles a limited licence to store and display this content to session participants.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FactCircles Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the session in question.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA. Disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration under JAMS rules, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court.
